    2. It’s simple and that’s what makes it fast.  Other browser have so many “features” that it slows you down.  Especially if you have an older computer.

  3. Mozy Online Backup

    2. I have tried carbonite and others, but this one has the best interface and “versioning” which sets it above the rest.  If you don’t use mozy please, please use SOMETHING.
  4. Bluecoat’s K9 web filter

    2. This filter is designed for keeping your family safe from sites that contain undesirable content, but includes the benefits of filtering for known malware and spyware distributors.
  5. Ccleaner

    2. Periodic optimization and cleaning can be run once a month.  It cleans recycle bin, temporary internet files, and has a registry cleaner
  6. Malwarebytes Antimalware

    2. This scan can be run periodically when you notice strange computer behavior.  Ie strange popups, notifications, or homepage changing.
  7. VLC Media player

    2. Similar to windows media player but has every video codec you will ever need.  No more “You need to download such and such to view this video”

      2. Get rid of iTunes with all the ads and the sloooooow performance.  This does the same stuff only better
    3. Dropbox

      2. Sync a folder online between two or more computers.  Great if you have a laptop and a desktop
